WJOA mid-June updates!

Shabbat and Potluck
Our next Shabbat and Potluck will be THIS Friday, June 20th at 7pm. Please RSVP and receive the link to sign up for your dish by emailing Tanya.

Happy Hour
Join us at our next happy hour! Thursday, June 26th at 7pm at Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, 29-19 24th Ave. RSVP here.

Bike Ride and Picnic
Join us for a bike ride followed by a picnic at the Louis Armstrong House in Corona on Sunday 6/29 at 11am. We will meet at  LIC Bikes, 25-11 Queensboro Plaza North and head out from there. You can rent a bike or take the subway and meet us there as well! RSVP here.

Astoria Fireworks
Fireworks in Astoria Park featuring live music from the Queens Symphony Orchestra! When: Monday, June 30, music starts at 7:30 p.m. Where: Astoria Park, on the lawn, Shore Blvd. between Hell Gate Bridge and pool.

Book Club
At our next book club meeting, we'll be reading For the Relief of Unbearable Urges by Nathan Englander, and will meet on Sunday, July 13 at noon for brunch. The location will be decided soon. This is a short book with short stories! RSVP to Jonah, and check out the FB event here.

Movie Night!
Join us as we take part in the Newton Road Backyard Film Festival as we see "The Purple Rose of Cairo" on Saturday, July 19 at 8:30pm. RSVP and see additional details on the FB page here.

The National Havurah Summer Institute is happening in NH, Aug. 4-10. For more info: http://havurah.org/institute/about/about-the-institute/ We'd love to get a group together. Please let Ally know at travelin.ally@gmail.com if you have any interest!

Anyone interested in hosting a future Shabbat should email Mor at mormez@gmail.com. You should be comfortable with having about 20-25 people in your home.
