Schmooze News Items Attention people of Astoria: There is going to be a BOAST: Best of Astoria website launch party on Sunday February 8th 4:30 PM at Studio Square. Please come down to the Olde Prague Tavern, 28-48 31st St. on Saturday 1/31 at 9pm for the best drink special in town and for an evening of great music including WJOA member Dan Sieber leading the Crescent Street Jazz Agents. More info here. Astoria Center of Israel will be having a blood drive on 1/25. See their website for more details: www.astoriacenter.org We are always looking for volunteers to host upcoming Shabbat dinners. Please feel comfortable hosting 20-25 people in your home. Anyone interested in hosting should contact Ally. If you do not have the space to accommodate a large group but would still like to host, please consider hosting a smaller "unofficial" potluck that can take place in addition to our monthly dinner.
