Hosted Shabbat dinners in the 'hood! In addition to our monthly community-wide potlucks, WJOA encourages anyone who wishes to, to host a smaller dinner in their home. Hosts decide whether to have a service, how many ppl they can host and whether it's potluck or not. Themed dinners encouraged! Zelig will be hosting a (glatt kosher meat) Shabbat dinner at his home on 12/19 @ 4:10 pm (one of the earliest candlelighting times of the year!!), starting with davening followed by dinner. He has room for 7 guests. To RSVP and get the address, email [email protected]. Mike's Vegan Shabbat will be on 12/26 at 6:30 pm. Mike Croland will be hosting Shabbat services and a vegan potluck at his home. All food must be vegan (no meat/poultry fish, no dairy, and no eggs). He has room for 12 guests. Please feel comfortable hosting 20-25 people in your home. Anyone interested in hosting should contact Ally at [email protected]. Shabbat services and potluck @ Astoria Center of Israel Friday, Dec. 5 - kosher dairy/pareve potluck at 6:15 followed by services at 7.
