High Holy Days 2019
The Wandering Jews of Astoria will be collaborating with Malkhut, Kehillat Tikvah, and Queens Jewish Project for the 2019 High Holy Days.
Step into the New Year with us as we gather to rediscover our deepest intentions, to reveal the unique light that shines within each of us and to recommit to showing up and sharing that light with others. We will celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with heart-opening, participatory singing, prayer, meditation and learning. Services are open to all. There's no membership requirement, but we encourage you to sign up on the Malkhut website where the registration links will be posted soon. You can also visit the Facebook event here. The schedule is listed below and unless otherwise indicated, services will be held at LaGuardia Community College (31-10 Thomson Ave, Long Island City NY 11101).
*****Please note, services are free or by donation. In order to make the High Holidays sustainable for all, we are encouraging all in attendance from the Wandering Jews of Astoria community to assist in helping of maintaining the space we will be occupying, including setting up and storing chairs, books, and other supplies as needed. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity during the High Holiday season for WJOA (assist ushering attendees to their seats, set up of snacks, other tasks as needed), please contact Courtney for details.*****
