Bring it instead to Wandering Jews of Astoria, for our next Shabbat potluck. We'll gather on Friday, April 5 at 7pm in the home of Meredith, our newest Wanderer! Shmooze Newz: Maktuv*: An Evening of Islamic and Jewish CalligraphyOn Sunday, March 31, from 1:45-4:00 PM at the JCC Harlem, the Muslim-Jewish Solidarity Committee is hosting an interactive, hands-on workshop led by experiential educator and artist Ruben Shimonov. Explore the significance of Arabic in Islam and Hebrew in Judaism, as well as the close relationship between both Semitic languages. No background in Arabic or Hebrew calligraphy necessary.
