  • WJOA member Amelia Bienstock is leading a Tot Shabbat (for 0–4 year-olds) every other Shabbat morning at 10:30 a.m. at Ashreynu (21-14 30th Ave) in Astoria. Here is the link to the information for February 18.
  • Donate to Aid in the Ukraine Crisis
    • WJOA member Jonah Schrogin has a fundraiser benefitting GlobalGiving's Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, which supports more than 80 non-profit organizations on the ground in Ukraine and in the surrounding areas providing humanitarian aid, such as shelter, medical care, food, and clean water. Contribute here, and you can get more information by emailing Jonah, including seeing a presentation.
    • American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC): Emergency in Ukraine Response
    • JCC Krakow: Ukraine Crisis Appeal
  • Help Earthquake Survivors in Turkey and Syria
    • Two powerful earthquakes struck Turkey and Syria on the same day, killing more than 3,000 people and injuring thousands more. Homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure have been destroyed under layers of rubble. Your donation to the Turkey and Syria Earthquake Relief Fund will provide emergency relief and fuel long-term recovery efforts in Turkey and Syria. Meal Packing for Holocaust Remembrance Day

Sunday, January 29, noon – 1:30 p.m.
171 Lexington Ave, Manhattan

WJOA is attending a volunteer meal packing led by Met Council and Central Synagogue in Manhattan. The meals are for Met Council's Holocaust Survivor home delivery program. Optional is to deliver a meal to survivor living in Manhattan. RSVP to Brian by January 25. Check out our Facebook event for more details.
