Learning Happy Hour: The Illustrated Pirkei Avot On March 7 @ 7 PM, at the Strand Smokehouse, join illustrator Jessica Tamar Deutsch in a group study session with her first published book, The Illustrated Pirkei Avot. Learn about the process of creating a contemporary Jewish text and the thought process behind creating a graphic novel. The Illustrated Pirkei Avot is a complete English translation of the six chapters of mishna, accompanied by over 100 pages of hand drawn illustrations.
