Shabbat & Potluck in the Sukkah
After 40 years of wandering in the desert, the Wandering Jews of Astoria will wander to Rebecca and Andrew's backyard for our second annual Shabbos in the sukkah! Mark your calendar for Friday, October 18 at 7pm. And if you're tired of wandering, there will be plenty of seats, as we gather for abbreviated Shabbat services and an unabbreviated vegetarian potluck dinner. Is there a better way to ring in the new year? Just e-mail them at firstname.lastname@example.org for their address and the sign-up sheet.
October Book Club
On Sunday, October 20 at 12 noon, please join the Wandering Jews of Astoria for a book club brunch and discussion of "The Last Watchman of Old Cairo" by Michael David Lukas. Check out the description here.
Please RSVP to Jonah for location information as well as the sign up sheet to tell everyone what you are bringing. We hope to see you there!
October Happy Hour
Join us on Tuesday, October 22 at 8pm at Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden (29-19 24th Ave) as we ring in the new year with our first happy hour of 5780. We'll be joined by our new neighbors at Moishe House Long Island City and Queens Jewish Project! Join old friends and welcome our new ones to the neighborhood. RSVP to Courtney, and we'll save you a seat. L'chaim
